About The Journal
Studies in English Education and Applied Linguistics (SEEAL) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Langkaraya Adibhatara. It aims to provide an international forum for high-quality, original research that advances understanding of the English language and applied linguistics in its diverse forms—as a linguistic system, a medium of literary and cultural expression, a vehicle for translation, and a subject of teaching and learning. We welcome submissions from scholars worldwide—regardless of nationality or linguistic background—on the English language in all its global dimensions.
SEEAL is published bimonthly (February, May, August, and November) in both online and print formats. Manuscripts can be submitted via the Online Submission System or emailed to submitseeal@rilstudies.com.
Focus and Scope
SEEAL publishes high-quality research with a clear focus on the English language and applied linguistics in the following scopes:
- English Education: Language Teaching Methodology, Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT), Project Based Learning (PBL), Blended Learning, Second Language Acquisition (SLA), English for Specific Purposes (ESP), Language Assessment and Evaluation, Educational Technology in ELT, Sociolinguistics and Language in Context, Discourse Analysis and Pragmatics, and Teaching Professional Development.
- Applied Linguistics: Forensic Linguistics, Landscape Linguistics, Neuro Psycholinguistics, Semiotics in Society, Language Typology, Educational Linguistics, Clinical Linguistics, and Computer Mediated Discourse Linguistics.
- English Literature: Literary Theory, Critical Methodologies, Character and Theme Analysis, Stylistics, Comparative Literature, Literature in Education, engaging with theoretical, cultural, historical, or global dimensions.
- Translation Studies: Translation Theory, Translation Technique and Strategies, Translation Process, Audiovisual Translation, Literary Translation, and Specialized Translation.
All manuscripts undergo rigorous double-anonymous peer review. SEEAL is committed to publishing research that is innovative, inclusive, and contributes meaningfully to global scholarship on the English language.
